"Mako 54 was amazing. Herlinda was so accommodating to our arrival time. She met us, made sure we completely understood how access to the apartments worked and was always available if we needed anything. We mistakenly left our laptop behind, she’s notified us before we realized it was left behind. We arranged it to be picked up the next day by ours parents without any problems. We recommend this place if you’re looking for a clean, modern and safe place! We will be back!"

"To review this property, you must rate the check in/out process differently from the condo/building itself. The check in/out process is super inconvenient. I would give it a 2/10. You must get your keys from another hotel that is eight blocks away (0.4 miles). This is not a “short walk” as it is stated. Dragging your luggage through the streets is not ideal. "We loved our Penthouse on the 3rd floor. It had a nice terrace looking over the beach that you share with 2 other units. The AC worked well and so did the Internet. "We loved staying here as it was super quiet and a very inexpensive Uber ride down to the Malecon, also alot of great breakfast & dinner options! However, the beds are very firm and difficult to sleep on - which if you enjoy really firm beds, this will be a plus for you! It was however a downfall for my husband and I and we got little sleep during our stay due to the beds. They have a great little communal kitchen and pool area :)"

My only negative comment would be that there was no complimentary small bottles of water offered in the rooms. In a country where the tap water is largely undrinkable, the vast majority of hotels offer each guest one small bottle of water per day. It was missed in this hotel. Otherwise, I’d stay again."
