First, I'd like to say that the young woman in charge went out of her way to try to accommodate us. Unfortunately when booking this property, we did not see that it had no elevator. I am a senior with somewhat limited mobility. I wanted/needed to cancel our reservation after arriving because of having to climb 5 flights of stairs every day to go in or out. I didn't want to do that without confirming with the manager. Unfortunately while waiting I lost the ONLY other location we could get. So I had to endure 2 weeks of climbing stairs with no rails for support! The suites are as pictured. However, when it comes to the kitchen, they are below basic. They have an oven with no way of using it. No pans, no oven gloves. Not even a tea towel to lift anything out. The rest of the kitchen supplies are meager at best. When staying for more than a week, don't expect to have your apartment cleaned. I asked several times but they seem to have issues with staff. There was never anyone who could do it. I asked for clean sheets and towels and changed the bed myself. Comfort is not something this location is good at. There is no comfortable furniture in the room and the balcony furniture is the same. Even the 'lounge' chairs (2) at the pool were not comfortable. For someone with mobility issues, the pool was not accessible without getting on my hands and knees to get in or out. Finally, the noise of the neighborhood, day or night is ridiculous. We will not be back. Not relaxing!

Mako 54 was amazing. Herlinda was so accommodating to our arrival time. She met us, made sure we completely understood how access to the apartments worked and was always available if we needed anything. We mistakenly left our laptop behind, she’s notified us before we realized it was left behind. We arranged it to be picked up the next day by ours parents without any problems. We recommend this place if you’re looking for a clean, modern and safe place! We will be back!

We loved this property, it’s very elegantly decorated and secure. The rooftop view is incredible and the pool is lovely. The view from our room (3b) is also lovely with 2 balconies to boast. We experienced some discomfort with the neighborhood barking dogs who barked through the night a couple nights. My suggestion would be bring ear plugs. Additionally the wifi service was not good in our room. Do not count on it if you need to work. Herlinda was lovely and very helpful. The neighborhood was safe and had a lot of charm. We enjoyed walking to the near by gym “Total gym” and it’s adjacent coffee shop “Coffit” in the mornings.

I really wanted to love this hotel but I experienced many inconveniences of all sizes during my stay here. The major inconveniences were not necessarily the hotel’s fault but the nature of staying in this particular area. The staff were pretty good and was even proactive about solving an issue before I even brought it up - one of the pillows was not dried properly when I checked in and smelled mildewy. We did our best with the language barrier using Google Translate. But they didn’t bring a new one back. The decor is really nice and beautiful as pictured. The suite looked very clean but at some parts didn’t feel it (found small curly hairs on the top blanket while I have longer straight hair). One night I found a big live cockroach on the carpet. I didn’t have food out but there was food in the garbage which has no lid. I know not to expect perfection in Vallarta, and cockroaches happen even in nice hotels, but usually they are smaller and already dead. This was larger even than the ones I saw in the street. One morning the neighborhood had water turned off until afternoon. Then my last night was Saturday night, and so the next door house was having a party with a full sound system with an MC and the hotel has no soundproofing at all. I knew I could not sleep but I know I’m the tourist in this culture so I simply moved to a hotel in Las Concha Chinas where it’s dead quiet to finally get a good night’s sleep. During weekday nights it’s not too bad for noise.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mako 54, and I can confidently say it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. As someone who has frequented various apartments, I was genuinely taken aback by the premium experience Mako 54 delivered. Upon entering the apartment, I was immediately impressed by its pristine condition. Every corner of the place radiated cleanliness, a testament to the meticulousness and dedication of the hosts to ensure a comfortable stay for their guests. The apartment felt not just like a rented space, but more like a home away from home, owing to its immaculate upkeep. Mako 54 was not only spotlessly clean but also adorned with a luxurious design that added an elevated level of elegance to the stay. The apartment was evidently brand new, and it showed in every detail. From the modern kitchen appliances to the plush furniture, every aspect was state-of-the-art. The tasteful décor added an extra touch of sophistication, and the thoughtful layout contributed to the overall comfort and convenience. It's clear that every element was designed with guests' relaxation and satisfaction in mind. However, what truly made my stay memorable was the warm hospitality extended by the host.
