"Everything was in good condition. Staff were friendly. Close to downtown, lots of fun during the day , quiet at night. Close to famous fish fry , short cab or water taxi to Atlantis. Great stay. "

"Location is good, right beside Atlantis. Budget hotel. Hallway carpet smells mold. Room is clean. They give a plate of fresh fruits while check in which very thoughtful. Breakfast is nice we loved it! They also give wristbands to Atlantis so you can enjoy there for free including free towels. "

"We had a great time at Riu and would definitely go back. The food was amazing, especially the buffets, which are available for all meals. I would easily give the buffet dining 5 stars. The beach was a highlight for us. It was beautiful and easy to access directly from the hotel. We even enjoyed walking along the beach outside the property, which was a nice bonus. The gym was good and the coffee bar was very convenient, although it doesn’t open until 10am which is quite late. We personally didn’t spend time at the pool as it felt crowded and a bit overwhelming, but the beach more than made up for it. The rooms felt a little outdated, but the quality of the food and the beach experience really made the stay for us. Overall, we would absolutely return based on those things alone."

"The staff were all wonderful, repectful and very accomodating. The prices on the island are very expensive, from food choices, beverages, to cab rides. Been to a few islands and this one is the most expensive I've experienced"

"I rated it terrible mainly because the hotel manager Nigel. This man was very rude and completely not suitable or competent for his position. I booked 4 nights from February 21-25. After we checked in 10 minutes my daughter found a live maggot on the bed sheet. I wasn’t in the room as I was down there in the lobby. My daughter sent me the pic and I sent to the staff. The booking initially was non refundable, the front staff and the housekeeper manager were nice they apologized for what happened and offered me another room. They explained this never happened before and don’t know where it came from but it might dropped off from the ceiling. However with what happened we just couldn’t sleep in that hotel again so we decided to leave. The front desk staff said the manager Nigel has left for the day but he’ll be in tomorrow and tomorrow he’ll review the incident and there shouldn’t be a problem with the refund. Even one of the staff said she would leave if it’s her with that situation. However the next day Nigel refused to give the refund, he even said “if there’s a maggot then why you daughter still lay on that bed?”. I couldn’t believe he would say like this. This man has no heart he said he protect the hotel image so he denied it, Marriott should let this man go he did no good for the company name.
