"Had a great, relaxing time here. Buildings are old, but clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water, cold air conditioning, comfortable bed, etc. Owner of the business was present every day and was extremely welcoming and did everything she could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The whole place has a very warm "family" atmosphere to it. Would definitely stay here again. Might be the best option when it comes to affordable lodging on an otherwise fairly expensive island."

"My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bamboo House. The host (Pascale) was great to work with and provided excellent recommendations for us to help us plan our stay and was quick to reply to any questions throughout. The housekeeper (Olga) was invaluable in allowing us to disconnect as she came daily to refresh the house and even lended a hand with our laundry. Thanks to the onsite generator, even with a spotty island power grid the AC stayed cold, the showers hot, and the TV on to entertain the kids when the parents needed a break. While the entire island is always in motion, the high walls surrounding the property created a private sanctuary and the updated windows and doors kept the house quiet. I don’t hesitate to recommend the Bamboo House and look forward to coming back."

"Right across the street from the best beach we’ve found on the island so far. Firefly type bugs flying around are awesome, other than flies congregating indoors without seemingly any invitation, bugs weren’t a problem. Bunk beds in 3rd bedroom actually suited our 50 year old daughter and her 13 year old daughter just fine! Food prices are very high! Bring your wallet!! Stuff it before you get here! Back up outside grill thankfully made up for seriously dead main grill. Everyone loved our 6 night visit 🏖️👍"
