Find a Great Motel Russell Island

"Great home on Russell Island for a larger group! We’ve been coming to SW for years and have stayed in many homes on Spanish, on Russell, on the water, and “inland”. We had three families and each couple had their own room and all 5 kids (ages 8-14) shared a room which was awesome (4 twin beds and a fifth mattress on the floor worked perfect). The spiral staircase could be tricky for younger kids but our group thought it was great. Comfortable couches and a well set up TV was great for relaxing after a long day playing in the water- this is not always the case. The kitchen was well stocked!! We always cook when we visit and this is the first time we’ve actually had sharp knives, scissors, and all different utensils and big enough pots/ pans- Thank you! Being able to sit out back on the dock and drink coffee over looking the water was Grandpa’s favorite part. Short walk over to the Sandbar for food or playing at the beach was a cool option to have too. My only recommendation would be an additional 5gal jug of water and a faster way to dispense it than the fridge hook up. We had to make a few water runs with a large group as it only lasted a couple days at best. Would definitely stay here again, and probably will next year! Thank you!"

"We enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at Boo's bungalow! The host and property manager were very helpful and friendly and attended to us above and beyond. The house was super cute, clean and full of supplies inside and out. The view is fantastic, we enjoyed snorkeling and chilling in the water just steps away. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. "

"Everything was made easy. We were greeted, shown all “need to knows” of the house, the home was well furnished, very clean, cozy and had the perfect combination of beach toys/accessories - bonus - you can walk to beach access! "

"The property is a dream - a whimsy Bahaman escape! It was perfect for our mixed group of family and friends, 7 adults and 2 kids. After a long day at the beach we would return to Saltbox to rinse in the outdoor shower and then enjoy the rest of the day in the pool where the loungers are shaded. We went lobster spearing and used the “grill” to cook our catch and set a beautiful table with the linens and tableware provided. The outdoor dining area at Saltbox is so fabulous, that we cancelled our reservation at Da Vine the following night and picked up sushi to enjoy at the property. Sophia was easy to communicate with and the caretakers of the property, Brianna and Dolce, were very attentive and kind. Dolce even stopped by before church on Sunday (his day off) to check the generator and WiFi because the power went off Saturday night. There were a few pleasant surprises on property that I didn’t see in the description - a hammock, a swing, and a gazebo. The only negative for us was the upstairs bedroom does not have a door, so there is less privacy and it is warmer than the other rooms. It wouldn’t be a deal breaker for staying at Saltbox again, but we would rethink room assignments. We will definitely be back to stay at Saltbox and see our new friend, Bootsy Callico (the cat - named by my children). "
