"We had a lot of thoughts about our stay, so this might be a little long.
What we liked: The food and service at the Verandah buffet was consistently the best that we experienced during our stay. The staff were very attentive, especially Bendji that worked during breakfast! The doorman and beach shuttle driver were knowledgeable and helpful as well. Best drinks were at Hog Bar, the bartenders are great! We had a late flight and opted to pay the $35/pp to stay after check out and were thrilled to hear that they have a courtesy room available for 30 min to refresh before your flight.
Everything else: Check in was hectic as the front desk staff kept disappearing. We had a "water-view" room that looked out at an empty lot & bridge. The AC was stuck on so we woke up to a 59 degree room. The food and service at the restaurants were okay, but we always wished we had stuck with the buffet. Also, the restaurants had wine and premium options listed that were outside of the "all-inclusive" plan. There is no airport shuttle. The power temporarily went out for the entire resort several times. The harbor beach is nice, but there is a strong odor from the work site next door.
TLDR: This resort is fine if you just need the basics, but we will not be staying here again."
