"Husband and I stayed there for 2 days. Staff was very friendly. Especially Shawn the evening desk clerk. He helped unclog our shower that the filter was clogged due to past customers not wiping sand off before showering. Came to our room at 10pm went into about 3 inches of water in nice dress shoes to unclog the shower. Way to go above and beyond. He didn’t want us to have to wait till the morning maintenance crew to show up to fix it. Worked great after. Balcony faced the street and had a great view of ocean. Parking was ok had to park underground and was a bit tricky to turn around. Room was newly renovated. It was clean and comfortable. It is located right across the street from a great restaurant and small beaches with a bunch of tide pools for hermit crab hunting."

"We honestly loved everything about this place and plan to go back again. Only issue we had was there is serious asphalt damage due to roots pushing up from the ground at the cottage side. It was a bit of a struggle for our small car but going at it from an angle helps. There was some rust damage in the rooms but honestly kind of expect it because it's on the coast. Other then that it was lovely. The fire pits at night were amazing especially with a glass of wine. And a jetted tub in the cottage was a nice e surprise."

We had a beautiful dinner on the patio the evening prior to our wedding. We had a small group of 6 and it was perfect for that size. Host was great. Thanks for a memorable stay "

"The rooms are pretty basic but very clean. A nice table and chairs, large tv, comfortable bed, decent kitchenette. The staff was VERY courteous, and helpful. We had an issue with our tv and they were there to fix it within a half an hour. However, the water pressure in the shower was pretty pathetic. I know that the entire city is careful about conserving water, but I think I stood in the shower longer and used more water to rinse the soap off. I have better water pressure in our RV. Other than that, I would stay here again, but next time I’ll bring my own wine opener. The one they had in the kitchen was pretty awful. 😂"

"Location, location, location. Minutes to Monterey to the north and Carmel/Pebble Beach to the south, and a short walk to the sandy beaches at Asilomar. Salinas a short drive inland for Steinbeck house and museum. Morning walk along the beach with your coffee is just across the street. Can watch waves from the dining room table. Nearby Point Lobos Nature Reserve is a stunningly beautiful hiking area. Check low tide schedule for the tide pools. The house is like going to Grandma’s house…it’s dated with an eclectic mix of furnishings and small bathrooms but comfortable beds and a great home base for our party of 4. For our party, the location beat out perhaps “nicer” or more modern accommodations. We left as happy campers!"
