Very clean and well run hotel at a perfect location to enjoy the best of Monterey. The rooms were charming and quiet even though the hotel is located on a busy street. They were super welcoming to our dog and the charges were reasonable. We even lucked out on parking and found a spot in the garage across the street. Would definitely come back.

The room is classic and clean, very adequate with what we need , closet is surprisingly large. The hotel’s location is very convenient, morning coffe and tea is a nice touch and the reception staff is very nice and helpful, shoutout to Shannon, very professional. The room felt dirty--badly stained carpet was hard to ignore. We were in the "Historic" section, and this meant windows that didn't work, groaning pipes from a shower going on above us, poor lighting, no bedside table, a musty odor. The location in the city is good, parking was offsite, but not inconvenient, and the close-by British pub was great. Staff were friendly but didn’t project a bustling, professional vibe.
