"We had a balcony one row of houses back from the ocean. We saw a beautiful sunset, a whale, dolphins and a rocket launch while sitting on our balcony. The bathroom is small but usable. We rented beach chairs and beach towels from the front desk which was very convenient. There is quite a bit of road noise but earplugs did the trick while sleeping luckily a house under construction right off our balcony was not overly noisy."

Kyle and Gabe (manager and valet) convey pure pleasure at serving you, talking to you, getting right on whatever you need. I forgot how much of a difference it makes to be welcomed this way. Beyond that, its location, location, location. You can’t turn around without being awestruck and nurtured by beauty, fresh tangy air, and nooks and crannies to perch and take it all in. This old lady of a hotel has charm out the wazoo. It also needs a bit of coddling, but the staff does everything within their power and then some to make it right. For a fairly affordable stay in paradise, you will do yourself a favor by booking your stay at Laguna Beach Surf Lodge and let the team and the property work its magic. We cant wait to return. "

"Communication with owner was A. Any questions were answered promptly. This property truly is remarkable. The terrace and gardens, and rooftop deck were magical and peaceful. The location is the best for getting around the area and lots of good restaurants. Inside the property you will find amazing artwork and curio cabinets filled with collectible art from around the world. The beds are super comfortable and the linens top quality. It is a 15 minute walk to one of the most delightful beaches, Victoria Beach. It is secluded and you feel like you have the cove like beach all to yourself. Treat yourself and rent this place!"
