“Great Location”

Great location on the southbank of the Yarra RIver next to the convention center. Easy access to Southbank, Docklands, Central Business District, and Train station. Great restaurants and bars within walking distance of hotel.

“Great standard of service and attention.”

Service and quality of hotel and staff was exceptional. Staff were more than willing to assist where required and had answers to the few queries we had regarding the city and environs. Would not hesitate to go back. Access to and from the hotel was easy and the hotel is close to the South Bank amenities and casino.

“"Fantastic Hotel"”

Just returned from spending 5 nights at this hotel.The staff were fantastic the beds were really comfortable. Loved the "magic" button on your phone in your room. It catered for all your needs. We had a great time at this hotel and would definetly stay here again.

“fantastic would go back”

found this hotel to be fantastic the service and the staff were excellent. the evening meal was the only fault. certainly recommend this hotel it is within easy walking distance to spencer street station.

“Little touch of paradise”

Stayed on 11th foor it had lovely veiws of Yarra River and city surrounds. Wonderful comfy bed, very quiet room for restful sleep. Excellent close shopping all within walking distance. Breakfast was fantastic with huge selection of fresh food. Restaurant and bar had quality food,drink and ambience.All staff are very well trained and very willing to help no matter how small our request was for help.We were very impressed with every attention to detail.Thank you Hilton Melbourne South Wharf for a wonderful stay on our anniversary..

CBD as it has entertainment, shopping, clubs, wide variety hotels, excellent accomadation, parks with beautiful gardens, Queen Victoria Market huge variety of restaurants to please all nationalities.

“Very happy”

We return every year for a conference due to its proximity with the exhibition centre. As always, it is clean and very comfortable. Staff are always abliging. Somewhat difficult to find resturants close by if you dont want to walk after a long day.

“Basic basic”

There was nothing exceptional about this hotel. Extra charge for internet, expensive breakfast menu, mediocre buffet, not the best location, no exceptional service.

“Cant wait to not go back”

Dirty underwear behind a chair on the floor in the room. We took some cheese and biscuits into the room, went to see movies and the knife had been taken with the cheese we had on the plate........ hungry mice.

“WOW.. Melbourne's Greatest Hotel.. VERY VERY Impressed!!”

Hilton South Wharf must be experienced to be believed.. from the moment we got there to the day we left everything was just PERFECT! We were holidaying with two young children, aged 8 and 7 and stayed 5 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment, with buffet breakfast. Hilton staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful and made every experience a pleasure.. from check in, to dining or asking concierge for directions, all staff were just fantastic. Room was immaculately clean and very modern but also very comfortable and cosy. We have stayed in many hotels around the world but the Hilton bed is the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Buffet breakfast is highly recommended.. they had such a big selection there was something for every taste, including a chef cooking eggs to order and 'real' coffee made to order and the best part was, it was all included! We loved everything about the Hilton South Wharf and can' t wait to go back.. Highly recommended for!!!!

Getting around
Excellent tram service to get around the city and the greater suburbs which is a very cost effective way to get around and the city circle tram is free!
Must see
Tutankhamun exhibition at the Melbourne Museum.
Shopping
DFO Shopping Centre, right next door to Hilton South Wharf, was great for bargain shopping and also a quick bite to eat in the food court. There were so many shops from sports stores like, Adidas, Nike and Puma to so many different designer clothing and shoe labels all under the one roof.. my wife maxed out the credit card as the bargains were too good to refuse and it was all mostly current fashion.. I went a bit crazy in the sports stores!
Dining
Room service at the Hilton was of very high quality and nice Spanish fare at the restaurant on the ground level. There are also so many restaurants to choose from along the wharf right next to the Hilton.
Family-friendly activities
Melbourne Aquarium, Luna Park, Melbourne Zoo, Hot air ballooning at sunrise, Chocolate making class at Sissy's Delights in Blackburn.
Nightlife
Crown Casino is just a short stroll from the Hilton.
