Fantastic hotel experience. Many wonderful touches and gestures that made a memorable traditional feeling stay. Rooms and bathrooms exceptional. Service a little out of touch with international high end hotel norms and protocols, but overall highly recommended.

The gardens are worth the visit. The restaurants are first class and the staff was very helpful.

The personal recommendations every night for restaurants meant we tried so absolute gems in the 5 days we stayed. A big thank you to Mami who was so smiley and always around to help and called restaurants to do double check they had space for us. Very helpful to a solo mum travelling with her teenage daughter.

5 star hotel and very accomodating staff, but with old building. Air conditioning unable to go below 73-74 degrees Fahrenheit with central air. Nice bathroom and still clean though, also in good location but a bit expensive for the price with better options in this price range

Liked that they had a great option with 4 beds for a family of 4. Wish that the tv had BBC World News so that we could keep up with the news!!

Our apartment was very suitable. I booked for myself, husband and 15 and 11 year old sons. When I arrived at the property, I had to pay an additional fee for my younger son as the room we were initially allocated did not have a bunk bed. This was frustrating as four people were listed in the booking. The apartment was approx a 20 minute walk from Ueno station (JR Yamanote Line) and a 5 minute walk to Okachimachi Station. Also about a 10 minute walk to Tokyo Metro Ueno station. There were plenty of food options below on the streets. The washer dryer was very handy as we were hot and sweaty each night and I was able to launder clothes. We called a Uber to leave the hotel and it was easy for the Uber to find as the apartment name was in the Uber app. Be sure to check on costs for children before finalising booking,but otherwise a good place to stay.

Had everything we needed,nothing was to much trouble for the very friendly and welcoming staff,located so close to shops,train and buses.So convenient

The hotel is really nice but the area around it is not! It’s night club areas that we didn’t know it was… and every other night there’s drunk lying on the street! And in some areas, the garbage are dumped high on the street!!
