The location and overall clenliness was good. We did have an issue with drain fly larva that would crawl out of the ensuite shower daily. Raised the issue but took sometime to get back to me and was not resolved during our stay. The other thing I did not like was that they sent the temporary gate code via a group text meaning my number along with others checking in the same day were shared with each other.

A spatious, clean apartment with wonderful sea views. Nice big pool, lovely temperature. Short work to surf club, coffee shops, bakery and supermarket. Yes there are construction works very close by but it did not impact our stay, we still had a wonderful time.

The room itself was comfortable and well-presented, but the lack of complementary amenities beyond basic tea and coffee was disappointing compared to other hotels in the same category. Unfortunately, the most negative part of our stay was the service — several staff members were noticeably rude, which really affected our experience and has made us hesitant to stay at another QT property in the future.

Stayed at Sofitel Gold Coast and overall had a great experience. The location is excellent—right in the heart of Broadbeach with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and entertainment just steps outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel offers nice amenities that add to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Everything felt well-maintained and up to the Sofitel standard.
The only downside is parking. There’s no complimentary customer parking, and guests are required to pay hefty parking fees to use the hotel parking, which is disappointing considering the premium price point.
Aside from parking, it’s a solid stay and a great choice for the Gold Coast.
