Great ocean view, clean room, excellent location. Outdoor and indoor spa, steam room and sauna was good too.

The adevExtremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend Our experience with this accommodation was terrible from the beginning. Firstly, one of the front door keys kept jamming in the lock, and it took us around half an hour just to get the door open and gain access to the property. This was incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable. The check-in and key collection process was also extremely inconvenient and, in my opinion, not properly or clearly advertised on the Expedia listing. We had to travel to a separate location just to pick up the key, then pay for an Uber back to the accommodation. At checkout, we had to do the same thing again — catch another Uber just to return the key. The whole process was an absolute mission and made what should have been a simple check-in and checkout unnecessarily stressful, time-consuming and expensive. On top of that, the hairdryer in the bathroom was practically useless because the nozzle did not even fit properly, making it difficult to use.

Great location & wonderful view. Lovely unit & very comfortable. Indoor pool could be a little warmer, especially for this time of the year & spa needed to be hotter. Great stay though & nice place.

Convenient location with a few amenities (restaurants, shops, lightrail) closeby. We had lovely views of the water from our mid level until allocated. Check in and reception service was smooth, but opening hours were minimal, and so were any further assistance for questions and other matters for the stay. Parking was a complete joke, and the underground carpark is a tortuous blind maze. Left access was pretty poor, especially when one of two lifts were utilized for removalist, trades, and other sevices. Unit was suuny, light, and comfortable(somewhat minimally) furnished, but room amenities were old, broken, and unhygenic. Althought superficially clean, our unit was in desperate need of a deep clean. We found dust balls, gritty/sticky(caked on dust) carpet, and dead/live cockroaches with associated droppings in all areas of the kitchen. Perhaps a regular schedule of deep clean (carpet shampoo, wipe inside cupboards, pest treatment, dryclean throws/cushions/couch) would have made a difference. First 2days of our stay was spent buying cleaning products and additionally cleaning the unit. Our scheduled weekly “service” didnt turn up, and reception wasnt able to specify a time for their visit. For the price, I think there are better accomodation options, and we are unlikely to return.

I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. It looks like it does online, everything was clean and beautiful. The location was quieter than Surfers Paradise so lots of opportunities to relax. I wish I was still there

The Gold Coast Star holds many memories for us over the years, so when we come back to Stay & Play we are very comfortable & feel @ home. Value for money is high across all food outlets. They have higher end restaurants which are visually appealing & the food is excellent but they also offer a high volume menu @ the Food Quarter. Portion size @ quality of my Barrumundi & my Husband’s Lamb Shank was delicious! The Garden Kitchen is one of our favourite places to eat for food & ambience & still more eating Options offered! We don’t know how they do it!Accomodation was very clean & all Staff do a Wonderful job to make you feel welcomed. Reception was quick & friendly. The location is in amongst all the action & other Entertainment @ Tourist Attractions. Short stroll to Pacific Fair Shopping venue which is one of the Best on offer in South East Qld.

Beautiful apartment complex. Rooms modern and clean. Easy after hours check-in. Nice pool, spa, BBQ area.

scam! i never received the check in instructions and they never got back to me despite trying to call or msg them.
