Southern Moreton Bay Islands Mountain Holidays

Initially I was disappointed with the unit position in the East Tower. It is advertised as beach view but actually faces west, over the light rail station and Pacific Fair Shopping. The traffic noise is noticeable during morning and afternoon peak times, cars and rail, when the balcony door or windows are open. The ocean is partially visible from one balcony. Access is good with numerous lifts. Location is ideal with beach and surf club access nearby, shopping centre, casino and Surfers Paradise central within walking distance. Public transport is adjacent to property and fares currently capped at 50cents each way. Easy to access from Coolangatta Airport to Broadbeach South terminal. The property is attractive with buildings positioned around a central pool area. I’d recommend a stay here and hope to return soon.

This apartment block is right on the beach - close to amenities There is a 2 tower development going up on the section next door that shades the property blocking the sun and blocks much of the view. The pool only gets a couple of hours sun in the late afternoon and is not heated enough to remedy the lack of sun so its too cold to swim in. The tradies start work at 6:30 am so not ideal if you want to sleep in. The hosts are helpful and accommodating

Family of 5, 2 adults, 2 teens and a toddler. The apartment was nice and the views were fantastic. I’m going to list pros and cons of things i think are important, starting with PROS: Appartment was a good size. It had all the things you need for eating/cooking/ showering/ going toilet. Woolies is literally out the front door, so convenient. Great pools , sauna, games rooom, bbqs & outdoor seating. Walking distance to beach and markets which made exploring fun. Free wifi Free netflix on the tv. Now the cons: The apartment showed visible signs of wear such as paint peeling off on parts of the walls. One of the chairs were repaired with duct tape , which doesn’t effect usage but can be unsightly. The main room bed was clean but very hard and not comfortable and also the “ bedding “ was a fleece throw blanket sandwiched between two sheets. A proper doona would have been nice considering we paid over $500 for one night. The designated parking spot is VERY small and we scraped the front end trying to park. We had to load dishwasher and remove rubbish which again isn’t a massive deal but on vacation you pay to get a break from that. There were marks on walls and windows were dirty but again not a deal breaker. Check in / out off site sucks. The north /south tower can get confusing as we were in the wrong one on arrival trying to work out why our key fob wouldn’t work. I’d stay again but only at a cheaper rate as we could have stayed in something a little more luxurios
