Beautiful setting and our hosts thought of everything. Highly recommend.

Blissful Birchs Bay was the perfect base for exploring southern Tasmania. We were welcomed by a warm, cosy home that immediately felt inviting. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped for families. The views were beautiful, the beach was right at our doorstep, and we loved spending time watching the birds and wildlife. Our kids especially enjoyed exploring outside and playing the board games provided during the rainy weather. The hosts were incredibly helpful, with excellent communication and a detailed guide full of local recommendations that really enhanced our trip. We left feeling relaxed and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

3rd time staying here, hence no faults

Hotel strikes you on first sight as "older". We arrived in the afternoon and wandered around reception for 10 minutes after being told by a lady behind the desk it would only be a moment while the only other person on duty was on the phone. There was no one else in the property. I left, went back to the car and considered going somewhere else. Came back in, and was ignored while the two behind the counter had a conversation. Finally got checked in. Later, went to the bar, sat down, and evidently made someone else mad about us not sitting in the dining area. Overall the hotel property was adequate but the staff left much to be desired.

We had a two bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. It was absolutely amazing. Loads of space with all the comforts. The fittings and furniture were all high end. A massive TV to watch the footy finals 😍 The complex was close to everything and reasonably quiet. I would definitely recommend and if we are in Hobart again will come back to this top notch accommodation.

Our stay at this accommodation was exceptionally wonderful. The property itself was absolutely beautiful—timeless, elegant, and truly a special place to relax and unwind. Every detail contributed to a memorable experience, and we had such a great stay from beginning to end. A special mention must go to Philip, who was simply amazing. He attended to all of our needs with genuine warmth and care, making us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. In the evening, he made us drinks and desserts by the fire. To make our visit even more special, Philip surprised us with a beautiful birthday treat to celebrate my husband's birthday. The next morning, he greeted us with a delicious breakfast, and his company was so warm, embracing, and enjoyable. His hospitality truly made our experience unforgettable. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We will absolutely be returning to this beautiful accommodation and look forward to experiencing its charm and elegance again in the future.

Well, this property needed some kind of refurbishment especially in terms of lighting, in-room TV facilities, and even clothes hangers as well. One more, I faced parking issues within property especially when coming back late evening (after 10pm). Rest is OK!

The lodgings, food and service was fantastic! I felt like I was in a Jane Austin film and loved every second. The room was updated, comfortable and very cozy for the winter. The food at the resturant was the best meal we had in Tassie and would come back again just for that. Staff were friendly and overall a 5 star experience.

We had an amazing wonderful comfortable stay at the Olde Tudor. Staff & amenities were fantastic. Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏 😊

We stayed for a few nights at Balmoral on York, in a Premier Queen Room. Room was okay - slightly outdated but clean, and comfortably sized. You can open the window which is handy for fresh air circulation, but there is no flyscreen. Location wise is really great. Very close to city centre - walking distance to the shops, restaurants and bars. Free parking space is a fantastic added bonus - there were plenty when we were there. Breakfast (we had continental breakfast included) was okay - simple but plentiful and good variety of choices. Staff is pretty good - although it seems there was only one person attending to breakfast and front desk (assumed maybe because it was winter). Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
