Hotel room was in great condition and very clean. Most of the staff were fantastic, a few could have been more pleasant. We dined in the restaurant above the pool area on our first night. This was not an enjoyable experience at all. The staff were less than happy looking, when the kids meals arrived.. they had ordered burgers and chips and when I say the burgers were tiny I’m not exaggerating. My husband and myself ordered fish and chips, the fish was lovely but the chips were extremely greasy and mushy peas were like hard paste. I asked for some vinegar and the man told me there was none as they had run out a few days ago…then the bill..so expensive and not worth it. Compared to our stay the previous year the dining experience had went drastically down hill so we ended up eating out for the remaining four nights we stayed. Breakfast was mainly great, good selection and fresh food from the kitchen on request. Could do with weetabix for the kids as it does state they have it on the menu but couldn’t be found. Pool area with steam room and sauna are lovely, some of the ceiling tiles above the pool have seen better days and really stand out in such a clean and up to date area. Changing rooms are well equipt but missing many locker keys. Over all I was pleased with the stay but having stayed four times previously over this past few years there is definitely an obvious change in the attention to detail and it’s nothing that can’t be simply fixed but I may try elsewhere in future.

Great location for a short stay in Edinburgh. Breakfast was very good. The room was clean and spacious. The pool was a great bonus and we used it every day after touring the city.

Easy walk to subway. Starbucks close by. Food was good. Staff helpful, was able to arrange a car back to airport. They let me park my rental out front while I unloaded my bags. They have a coffee shop and two restaurants in the hotel. The fish and chips were good. It was within a short walk for the Hop on Hop off bus. I don't know if it was because I went through Expedia, but they wouldn't let me charge anything to my room-the only draw back.

The hotel is coneniently located next to a train station and within a walking distance from the major attractions (depending on your definition of a walking distance). The included full breakfast was a real bargain. The only issue was a clogged sink drain, but most hotel rooms are like that.

Wonderful stay thank you. All staff so welcoming and helpful. Our room amazing with views of London eye, Big Ben and Houses of Parliament. Breakfast just perfect and hotel in such a good location. We will be back ❤️
