"I was part of a group staying at the Christopher Wren Hotel. We had multiple rooms. At no time did we find the staff to be friendly or helpful. The following two examples stand out: 1. After standing at the reception desk while the reception staff member looked at something that she was working on, I asked her if she could help me. Her response was "What do you want?". 2. We booked a table for 2 for afternoon tea in the restaurant. Upon arrival, we asked to change our booking to a table for 3 (for a person who was staying in the hotel). The restaurant is large and was empty. The maitre'd said that he had no room for a 3rd person. When we left the restaurant 2 hours later, the restaurant was still empty. When we asked the maitre'd why 1 more person could not be accommodated, he (somewhat unbelievably and adamantly) explained that the empty tables had to be kept available for walk-in guests and staying guests."
