Although the decor is a little tired, it’s a great, convenient location. The booking we had was for our family of 5, the unit was a great size, comfortable for all of us, clean and tidy. Recommend to families. Affordable and comfortable.

Small but comfortable studio ideal for us for a one night stay. Friendly and efficient welcome. Convenient for eating venues and shops in the town. Easy walk to Ferry.

Location was perfect to water, beach, ferry, restaurants, pubs, and takeout places. Shoet walk to the Warehouse for any supplies.

Cool little place
We loved it. Ocean beach facing (across a road and walking path) and walking distance from restaurants. We took the ferry across to walk the cliffs and visit more beaches.

Blue Marlin review
Wonderful location close to town and across the street from the beach. There is parking for one car per unit. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. They do have a short check in window but they were able to leave us our key for a check in. The kitchenette consisted of a microwave and refrigerator, but no stove top. The room did get a bit bright in the morning as there were no blackout curtains over the window above the bed. Limited bathroom amenities, just body wash, shampoo and moisturizer in the shower, and nothing by the sink. The upstairs room was quiet. The room was extremely clean.

Beautiful view! Right across the street from the beach. You could sit on the front porch to listen and watch the waves coming in! Nice short walk to restaurants and shops! The proximity to the main part of town was perfect within walking distance, easily! Though the bathroom windows were frosted, it would’ve been nice to have a curtain or shades/blinds to cover the bath window. The rest of the windows, you could adequately able to cover with the blinds/shades provided.

Great apartment opposite the beach. Walking distance to restaurants. Very comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Lovely friendly owner. Easy parking out front of door. Highly recommended.

Thank you for your post. I will check the kitchenette, obviously someone has taken some cutlery for a picnic and not returned them. Wifi can be problematic in Whitianga.

Absolutely well appointed holiday unit, on absolute beach front 1 min walk to beach. Great attention to detail, supplied beach towels etc - fabulous with a great host.

Had a lovely quiet stay here, everything about our room was perfect. The host went out of here way for us arranging a barbecue for our group to you. Fantastic place to stay, wish we could have stayed longer.

I liked how good of a size the room was and that it was modern enough like the bathroom too. disappointed in not having a stove top, the water tasted like chlorine plus the blow dryer smelt burnt and disgusting.

Thank you for your comments. You booked a studio room which does not have a kitchen but does have microwave, electric jug and toaster. I guess I can't be held responsible for the water as we are on town water supply which is chlorinated. I will check the hair dryer and replace it if it is not working.

Good location opposite Buffalo Beach and easy walk to cafes and to town. King bed very firm so one of us has very sore back and shoulders from our stay and the other one of us slept in the single bed in the lounge for the week which is a little more comfortable. Unit very clean. Each unit has own BBQ which we used twice. Good to have free wifi and Sky TV. Would have liked to have used outdoor furniture and enjoyed west facing aspect for evening sun and drinks but it rained the whole week we stayed 😢 But motel overall is nice.

Thank you for your review. The weather has been so soggy and awful this year, such a shame for all our holiday makers. It is difficult to get the bedding to everyones liking. I buy from Sleepyhead and have medium as opposed to hard or soft to try to please everyone. You made the most of your time even though the weather was not favourable so you had relaxind break.
