"We were so excited to book the Fairmont as we had stayed and got married at the Seattle location and received phenomenal customer service. When we arrived at checkin, we had requested the highest floor available. It was a corner room which was very narrow, especially the restroom! What’s worse was that it was right by the elevator and the noise was loud! Wish we were told of this before requesting the highest floor as we asked for a room change the following morning. After explaining the situation with the room being close to the elevator, the staff immediately said there’s nothing available without even looking at the computer. After pushing a little bit, she looked at her computer and found a couple room options, and with manager approval we got to change our room. It was literally night and day. This room was way more spacious, not a corner room, and away from elevator noise. I highly recommend corner rooms and signature rooms to not be in the same category. Also, this hotel needs a major facelift to match its other locations. Lastly, some staff need to be trained better in hospitality. Some were not friendly empathetic, while some were incredibly friendly."

"Everything with this hotel stay went smoothly, from the valet parking, easy check-in, staff bringing luggage to our room to the most comfortable bed, spacious room and bathroom, and so convenient to everything in downtown Chicago. Loved our visit and would definitely stay again!"

"Nice hotel..... convenient location. RUDE front desk staff that seemed irritated when asked about literally ANYTHING! The girl who checked us in was nice but after that it went downhill fast. Bell desk staff was great on the way out which helped us exit without being completely frustrates. Paying almost $20 to waste my time and struggle with their computer & printer (I'm typically very tech savy so idk what the issue with their business center was) while wasting an hour of my life at 5 am on one of the most important days of my daughter's life was pretty disappointing ....... also didn't love paying $17 for a wilted salad that had probably been on the shelf of their market for 4+ days and having them not even include the deserts I ordered paid and tipped on was disappointing, especially since we had such a packed schedule there was no time to call and complain as we were eating on the run. I would return ONLY if there were no other hotels left in downtown Chicago. This definitely would be my last choice."
