"Overall was ok, good location but place needs a bit of updating as it is very dated but has everything you need. There are ripped curtains in the bedroom and the shower needs the pressure and door fixed - simple low cost fixes which would make it much better. Owners live on site permanently and people live below the unit in the garage also so you only have the deck to use."

"What a fantastic house for a big group. There were six of us ladies and we had plenty of space with our own rooms and plenty of bathrooms too. It was perfect for the dog with the estuary and beach being so close. The kitchen was very well stocked so preparing food was easy. Communication with the host was always quick and friendly. To top it all off we had wonderful decks to follow the sun around the house and the fire kept us cosy. Loved our stay. We'll be back!"

"The house is right on the beach and has an amazing view. The deck is a lovely gathering place for folks, and if you're a surfer, the water is 10 steps away. The layout is a bit quirky but worked well for us because the 2 downstairs bedrooms are across a room from each other, affording privacy. "This place is immaculate. It is easy to feel ‘at home’ straight away. Everything we needed was there and the hosts were very helpful. Close to town and also to the lake. Waihi beach less than 10 minutes away and others not much further. The Hauraki Rail Trail so close. It was quiet and all in all, a great place to stay."
