Awesome house. Awesome location. 2 adults and 5 teenagers stayed for long weekend. Well set up house and separate sleepout. Heaps of room for everyone and more if need be. Close to estuary and beach. Everything you need there. Definitely stay again.

Great house for family stay in prime location

An excellent house for all the family to stay. Location is ideal - a quick walk to the estuary and shop. Nice quiet area. The fire makes the house cosy (and hot) on the cooler nights. This will be first choice whenever the entire family stay at Whanga.

Spacious house, with two large decks. It has everything we needed. It is a convenient location to the estuary and beach, friendly neighborhood. Helen and Alan were great communicators. Would happily stay there again.

Birthday celebration

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at delightful whangamata the accomodation was perfect and suited our age range from 6 months to 60 years old and our pets. Alan was a super host nothing was too much trouble and his communication was brilliant .I would definitely recommend this accomodation to my friends and family and would love to stay again Thanks for everything super memories .

We had such a good time in Whangamatā, the house was exactly as pictured & in a great location. Just a 4 minute walk to the beach! Definitely would recommend. Excellent size & configuration for groups.

We loved the spaciousness of the property, it's natural light and comfortable furnishings. The grounds were well kept and included off-street parking. The surrounding streets were flat, safe and easy to walk the dog.

Amazing home for a family celebration

Plenty of space for multiple families to have their own space while enjoying extensive decks and comfortable dining/lounge area. Fabulous heating from freestanding fire. Well equipped kitchen! We’d love to stay again.

Christmas at Whangamatā

Such a great, well-equipped house! Wonderful hosts! We were a four generation group enjoying a long-overdue catch-up with extended whānau, so being able to spread out across all 5.5 bedrooms and the many living areas was perfect with our large numbers. It was just a short walk to the beautiful river and south end of the surf beach for lots of swimming, fishing and beach life. Thanks Helen and Alan!
