"Needed a short break and Nilgiri Cottage was just the ticket.Adequate sleeping areas for winter (heated with electric blankets) or summer as verandahs are enclosed bedrooms when weather is hot. Kitchen was functional and well equipped.Place was cosy and fitted like a glove to our routine. We visited in winter so room and lounge heating covered those bases. Next time we'll bring some fire wood for heating.For astronomy, the skies were clear and views were 360 degrees. Also very quiet.We used Nilgiri as a home base for exploring and day trips.We'll be back."

"We stayed at Old Alloway for a long weekend as part of our first-ever book club retreat—and it was a complete success. The house is absolutely stunning, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The views were nothing short of breathtaking, and the peaceful, secluded setting made it feel like a true escape. Yet, we were only 10 minutes from the heart of Bathurst, which made exploring the local area easy and enjoyable. We thoroughly loved our stay and couldn’t recommend Old Alloway more highly!"

"We had such a cozy stay. The bed, furniture and furnishings were so comfortable and the linen and towels were high quality and luxurius. The kitchen was very well appointed and the bathroom was very user friendly.The view is beautiful and we loved sitting in the back verandah with a tea in the morning.The hosts are fabulous! Excellent communication and so lovely to speak to.We will absolutley stay again if we are ever in the Rylstone area again. "

"My daughter and I with our dog Charlie had a fabulous 3 night stay. Tiny home was perfect and exactly as described. Beds were so comfortable - including the fold out. We got meal packs which made it even easier. Charlie enjoyed the runs in the front paddock. Plenty of walks, sunsets and sitting around the fire. Family were in the other tiny house and they were separate for privacy and your own space but close enough to hang out together. We plan to come back. Highly recommend. "
