Lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings
Lovely 2 bedroomed cottage. Very well equipped in quiet location near to Mevagissey. Really enjoyed our stay, very peaceful and relaxing and a nice location to base our trips around Cornwall.

Perfect base for exploring the Roseland Peninsula
The cottage is well situated to explore the surrounding area and beautiful towns and beaches. A car is needed, but everything is within close driving distance (Carne beach is about a 15 min drive, Mevagissey about 20 min, the Eden Project less than 30 min). The cottage is well equipped with a well researched and helpful guest guide for the area, selection of books and games, and the kitchen has everything you need. Note that there is no bath (only a shower) but it's really a minor point, it's a lovely cottage that we'll be staying in again!

Lovely rural location
The property suited us two adults very well. The space was as described, comfortable, and big enough for our needs. The garden is separated by a very minor road which was a surprise but there is a shared gated grassed courtyard attached. We liked being out of the way and enjoying evening walks along the quiet lanes.

Fabulous stay at a beautiful property
This is a lovely cottage in a fabulous, peaceful location. There are no amenities close by, so you have to drive which was not a problem to us as we combined shopping with other trips. Close to the lovely fishing port of Mevagissey which had lots of bars and restaurants as well as a fish and chip shop. St Austell was only 5 miles away where there is an Asda and a Tesco. The cottage had everything you could possibly need - extremely well equipped and obviously recently refurbished. The only very slight comment would be that maybe a slightly larger television (thought the one that was there was a very good smart tv). Also maybe another set of crockery as there was sonly 4 place settings - this was fine as it is a 4 person property but as it has a fabulous full size dishwasher it meant we put the dishwasher on more than we needed!! The other slight criticism was the check in/ check out times. You couldn't get in until 5pm, and had to vacate by 9am. Even taking into consideration covid, this is still quite a large window and most other properties we have rented are check-in from 2pm and vacate by 10am. Nonetheless a fabukous holiday in a wonderful cottage - we will definitely return.

Fantastic family holiday
What a absolutely beautiful property. It was everything we could have wanted and more. It was like stepping foot into someone’s home rather than a rental. Nothing was missing, every small detail was thought about and the location was perfect. A great base camp to explore the delights of East Cornwall. I would book this property again in a heartbeat! Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Family Holiday
This was in a great location for loads of beaches, walks and Eden/Heligan. The lounge and kitchen were great spaces (more plates and some newer pans needed). The beds were comfy and bathroom fine (shower OK but 5/10). We didnt get to sit out in the garden much as it was cloudy - but it was well looked after. Recommend staying here for sure. Just to note there are no local facilities and pub is a very steep walk away. We went knowing this and it was what we were looking for.

Beautiful location
Just returned from a wonderful week away at this comfortable property. Can honestly say it was the most well equipped holiday rental we have ever stayed in. Beautiful location with lots to do but a car is definitely essential as there are very few accessible footpaths close by and the lanes are narrow with no footpaths. There was however a large field close by to exercise the dog. The host and management company were very responsive. Would highly recommend and definitely book again.

Had a great week at Lamorna. Lovely cottage with lots of space for the family. Really quiet location with easy access to some fantastic beaches… Need to plan ahead though as quite a drive to grab any supplies.

Nice comfortable property, good location - nice countryside all around and beaches / walks / Mevagissey close by. Overall a very nice property. Lucky with the weather too - spent a couple of days on the beach! Negatives - bit confused about which garden belonged to the property and the section we used was across a road. A quiet road but with a dog, you couldn't just let them out. I guess the kitchen could have been a little better equipped - a frying pan big enough to feed an army and almost too big to go on the stove top for example.

Lovely location, close to Heligon, Eden project, beaches. Nothing is too far although you do need a car. Cottage was big enough for, essentially 4 adults and 2 dogs, well equipped and comfy.

Great Location
Everything went very smoothly with good communications. Cottage is sizeable and very well appointed. The neighbours were friendly, including the pheasants. 😁 The cottage is 5 minutes or so from the nearest beaches and approximately an hour from most of Cornwall. It’s a great base for exploring and very quiet at night. We’ll recommend.

A lovely christmas stay
We had a lovely weeks stay in Lamorna cottage. On arrival accessing the cottage was very easy using a key safe, with the added unexpected finding of christmas decorations! The cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside, multiple beaches and sunrises every morning. Its great for a dog with the outside space and the twin room was great for kids. Everything you need is at the cottage from all kitchen untensils to an electric fire and log burner. Its a lovely cottage in what feels like the middle of nowhere but you're not far from civilisation when you start driving. We would highly recommend staying here if you want a chilled week away in the cornish countryside.

Lovely cottage in a great location.
We had a lovely week staying at Lamorna. The cottage had everything we needed, was comfy and really welcoming. The wood burning stove was lovely on the wet chilly nights. There was a great supply of games and local information. The coffee, tea and biscuits was a lovely touch. We would love to come back again.

Lovely cottage well located
Great communication with the owners Simon and Sally including very clear directions and advice to get there easily and access keys etc. The property is lovely, nice spacious living area and adjoining kitchen which is so cosy with low level lighting in the evening, a proper home from home. Very well equipped in both kitchen and household amenities and entertainment and most equipment appears quite new and of a good quality. Smart TV and DVD player with good selection of DVD’s and plentiful books and games for the rainy days. Decent size fridge/freezer, the latter part very welcome for keeping ice for the GnT’s on returning after a day out. Nice quiet location, though the lanes are narrow so care needed when driving to the main roads. The pub at nearby St Ewe a bit far for us to walk on the hilly narrow roads but only 5 mins drive away, and Mevagissey only 15 mins. We were well pleased with the cottage and our stay.

Great communication with the owners prior to our trip and we were able to contact them at any time during our stay if required. A very beautiful cottage, very well equipped for all our needs. Loved staying here, it was a great base for our holiday. It enabled us to show our son some of the sights of Cornwall. We traveled to Newquay by car and also caught the train at St Austell to St Ives and Penzance. We also stayed closer to home at Caerhays castle and beach. We went to see the Eden Project by car, and even went as far as St Michaels Mount/Marizion. It was a mini tour of Cornwall. It was perfect for us and what we wanted to do. But also gave us peace and quiet at the end of the day. Best of both worlds for us. Highly recommended. Thank you

Second visit to this pretty cottage. In a very quiet and relaxing location, the only sounds we could hear was birdsong. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable and the perfect location for us to unwind and walk on dog friendly beaches. Didn’t want to go home.

A comfortable cosy cottage in a beautiful part of Cornwall
We had wonderful weather for the last week of October, and spent most of our time outdoors walking sections of the coastal path along nearby headlands. The cottage was warm and welcoming to come back to, and even though the evenings were chilly we were kept lovely and warm with the electric radiators and wood burner. The cottage was well equipped, the wifi and the TV worked well... we couldn't have asked for anywhere better to stay to explore this part of Cornwall.

Beautiful place to stay like being home from home, fully equipped with everything you need.
Nice quite location beautiful views of the country side. Easy access to small coastal villages. Cottage fully equipped with everything you need, clean comfortable. As it was late September a bit cool the cottage was cosy and warm. If the weather was bad wonderful array of books games even jigsaw puzzles plenty to keep yourself entertained. I recommend this property highly peaceful place to come back to after exploring surrounding areas all day.

This was our second holiday at Lamorna cottage and we enjoyed it just as much as before. It is a well equipped and comfortable cottage. Close to the South Cornwall coastal path and great beaches. Such a peaceful location.

Lamorna cottage Christmas Holiday 2017
Beautiful cottage, very rural with great views. Although and old building the internal fixtures and fittings were right up to date including WiFi. For Londoners the narrow and twisty roads were a little scary, especially in the pitch dark and driving rain, and the days are very short at Christmas. However we soon got the hang of it. Thoroughly recommended if you enjoy a very rural location. We certainly do.

Great Property, quiet location.
Lovely property in a quiet rural location. Close to coastal walks and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. A perfect place to be able to head out and see many of the delights Cornwall has to offer. Among the places we visited were Dodman Point, Tintagel, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Screech Owl Sanctuary. Would highly recommend.
