"Stop your Daintree hotel search, just book DWL - you won't regret it! It is a lovely boutique, micro-resort perfectly situated in the Daintree. Cabins/rooms are a stunning oasis. Serene and relaxing (though the critters can be loud at night). There are only eight cabins in total, so the property is always quiet, with very little human traffic roaming about. Staff are fantastic. Sasha seems to run a one-man show with support from a few others in the background. He offered many suggestions for sightseeing and kindly arranged all of my meals. Merci Sasha - bon travail! The tiny whirlpool is perfect for a cool down from the heat and extreme humidity. Food was excellent and great value. They accommodated my vegetarian needs well and a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Formidable StarLink WiFi in the restaurant/lounge area. Mobile reception is very poor, but present in some pockets of the property. Convenient on-site parking. Did not see the hotel Cassowary this visit, maybe next time! "

"We had the most fantastic 3 nights here, in the family glamping tents. This is as close to perfect as you could imagine! We only missed having a ceiling fan on the verandah, very hot and with no breeze cant sit outside, but thats all! We will be back :) "

"I loved everything about my stay here. The property is so quirky that it instantly feels like home. We were so blessed to see so much wildlife right at the door step, we even had critters trying to join us when we had a fire to cook. My friends that I travelled with became a little overwhelmed when the water ran out due to the water pump playing up and that drained the solar power but understood that's part of living in a rainforest and absolutely no fault to owners. The caretaker had the water issue resolved the same day. We still always had enough power to what we needed. The caretaker was always around if we needed anything, we don't have words to say just how amazing she is.We all would highly recommend this property for an amazing and authentic experience of what living in the Daintree is like. "

"Beautiful setting opposite the beach in a quiet area.Only 15 minutes to Port Douglas, 5 minutes to supermarket so we were able to enjoy the best of both worlds.The home was spacious, clean, filled with everything you could need during your stay.Highly recommended."
