This boutique family run hotel is in the best location, but without the noise you'd expect being so central. Completely soundproof. Amazing location. Need to get up some stairs to get to reception, but they aren't really an issue. The boys meet you on the exterior of the city and walk you and your luggage into the hotel. Too easy. This time we stayed on the top.floor. Terrace Room
W.O.W. The staff are friendly, professional and a little sassy ... exactly our preference. Need to have...

Newly renovated. The hotel has only 6 Rooms. We stayed on the top floor. Although no lift we got used to climbing the stairs. The room was spacious and comfortable with beautiful large bathroom. The hotel staff were fabulous. Warm and friendly. The location was in the heart of the old town next to the Diocleation Palace and the waterfront. It was a great stay and amazingly quiet despite being in the heart of the old town

This hotel is perfectly located in the old town area of Split. It was clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was much appreciated in the summer heat! The staff were all very welcoming and helpful with luggage and travel suggestions, including checking that our outward ferry to Hvar was running on time. A simple continental breakfast is included each morning. The only improvement would be a little more storage space in the bathroom, e.g. a rack in the shower for soap, shampoo, etc.

When is the best time to go to Split?
The best time to visit Split is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, September, and early October.
These months offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures great for exploring the city and enjoying the Adriatic Sea without the intense heat and crowds of peak summer. You'll find the city is lively but not overwhelmingly busy, making it ideal for a relaxed yet engaging trip.
For those looking to enjoy swimming and sunbathing, May, June, and September are particularly good, as the sea temperature is comfortable for a dip. Many outdoor activities, such as boat trips to nearby islands, are in full swing but with more availability and often better prices than in July and August.
Couples or solo travellers who appreciate cultural experiences and outdoor activities will find these shoulder months perfect.
Where can I find the best nightlife in Split?
Split offers a good range of nightlife options, mostly concentrated around the Old Town.
The Old Town itself is the main area for an evening out. You'll find many bars and some smaller clubs tucked away within its ancient walls, particularly around Diocletian's Palace and its Peristyle Square. These venues often have outdoor seating, making them ideal for an aperitif or a late-night drink. Expect a mix of traditional taverns and modern cocktail bars.
Just outside the Old Town, along the Riva promenade, there are more bars and cafes that stay open late. This area is good for people-watching and enjoying drinks by the sea. It's generally a bit more relaxed than some of the inner Old Town spots.
For those looking for a later night, Bacvice Beach, which is a short walk from the city centre, has several beach clubs and bars. These venues often play music until the early hours, especially during the summer months.
