8/10 Good
"Clean, comfortable and convenient location. I believe the hotel just recently reopened after a makeover and there are still some kinks to work out. Check-in took about a half hour of standing in line. There were four people handling check in & I know they were skipping breaks to handle the crowd, but clearly more staff was needed. Even so, the woman who checked me in was courteous and pleasant. Then when I got to my room, it was still being cleaned so I had to wait some more. At checkout, I had to stand in line again - this time for about 15 minutes - when all I needed was directions on where to check my luggage. ANY signage for the bell desk would have saved me this annoyance. I could have used the key drop box & found it on my own; but, there were zero signs. Even after being told where to go, it seemed wrong because it's in what feels like a "behind-the scenes" part of the hotel. Last gripe - the elevators. I can't speak to the elevator bank for floors 16 & up, but there appears to be 4 elevators for the first 15 floors & it seemed like only two were in operation at any time. One day one elevator was being worked on and it looked like only one was available. So we were crammed into the one small car. On checkout day, it took four tries to get an elevator with room for me to get to the lobby, but it was finally a third elevator in operation. If they can solve these issues, they will be a five star hotel. Staff was all pleasant, just need more of them!"

"Located right in the heart of the city. Just a short walk to everything from Restaurant row to Times Square, 5th Ave, Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building and Subway stations. The restaurants at this hotel are terrific too."
