The location in downtown San Francisco is generally convenient, but it does seem a bit more run down than some other areas of the city, and it is clear that the effects of the drug use and homelessness epidemic are being felt. "

"Great location if you are taking public transportation. Near BART station, cable car and lots of buses. Grocery store 2 blocks away. No breakfast. Refrigerator in room but no microwave. The bathroom did not have a fan. Beds were very comfy. Easy check in and out. Great hotel for the price. I would stay there again. "

I arrived early and was able to check in without a hassle, and the reception desk offered me my choice of locations. The building is old, but generally well-kept, and my room was very clean and comfortable. There was an in-room coffee maker, safe, other amenities, even a lush terry robe. Overall, I was quite pleased and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel."
