comfortable hotel, with friendly staff. nice touches like free coffee, cookies, fruit and water available. Good base for exploring San Francisco. Bit noisy, the morning saxophone player was a bit of a surprise but the hotel did provide ear plugs! good value for money

Location is great and you have access to tons of bus, train, also very walkable but you have to watch out bevause there is lots of homeless near union square and downtown SF. I love the fact that they have water, tea, coffee 24 hours in the lobby. This is the second time I stayed in this hotel and I will pick this hotel again in future because of easy commute.

A real sense of olden style furniture and fittings circa 1930s but very well kept and maintained. Like stepping back in time to the days of Vertigo.

The hotel was lovely and had lots of charm and our room was clean. The only negative was that the parking situation was a little stressful since it is was in a structure a few blocks away and we didn't have easy access to our car during our stay. Other than that we had a lovely time.

I like that the room had a window made of glass. I also thought it was clever to put the faucet in the bathroom instead of beside the bed. The floor was perfectly level which prevented me from losing my balance. I liked the bartenders. Very personable.

Loved everything about our stay. Housekeeping was amazing. The cookies and coffee were a perfect touch. Drinks at the bar along with the bar tenders were awesome. Would definitely come stay again.

I think the staff on the front desk as we arrived could have been more welcoming and friendly. Tea or coffee making facilities in the room would also make the stay more enjoyable. Good location for the city's landmarks and excellent breakfast next door!

This hotel was so charming and surprisingly spacious! The staff were amazing and it was so cool that they always had cookies and sometimes had popcorn in the lobby. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in San Fran.

The Chancellor Hotel was a great location for a visit to San Francisco. We caught the cable car right out front and we were close to shopping and some restaurants. Our only complaint was housekeeping was every other day.

We paid for parking at the hotel. The garage charged us and couldn't find the car. We spent unnecessary time on this use before our flight. Disappointing.

It is a nice enough hotel and decent value but definitely very old in finishes and very small room and bathroom. The shower head comes out of the wall at 5’. Not great for most people.

Great little spot... free coffee and cookies and water and fruit nice touch. The rooms have additional touches in the bathroom like cotton balls, qtips soaps bath salts. Great spot gran a cable right out front at corner near Starbucks and see the sights. Nostalgic feel to hotel and really cool, clean, and would highly recommend. I was travelling with my wife and 3 kids and we had two double rooms.
