"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"We enjoyed our four nights at the Bothy. It needed some cleaning, but there was a lovely Henry available to do the job. The location is fantastic, we would book for a longer stay next time."

"A lovely clean modern hotel with quality furnishings and decor. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would have preferred opening rather than fixed windows. Would definitely stay here again. Well done Wyndham Super 8!"
