Perfect for our family of 4. This was our favorite hotel that we stayed at on 2 occasions… lots of space in the room and bathroom. Conveniently located next to Skógafoss and included breakfast. Would definitely stay here again on future visits!

We had a great stay at the hotel. They could not be more helpful. The breakfast had a great selection of food and the hotel bistro was fantastic. Will definitely stay at hotel skogafoss when I return. My daughter's family also stayed at the hotel and the family room was perfect with a queen bed and bunk beds for her 2 boys

Beautiful location walking distance from the waterfall. The place was clean and quiet. Everything was in good working order except the TV service, which was out temporarily. Very nice breakfast was included.

A more basic, old fashioned hotel than the others we've been on our trip but we had everything we needed and the view from our window to the waterfall was phenomenal! No kettle in the rooms but a very good coffee machine in the hallway. It would be nice to have the option to cast on the tv.

Location location location! Great breakfast included. The dinner was a bit hit and miss. My lasagne was cold in the middle. Just enjoy being a 2 minute walk from skogafoss waterfall and don't expect too much from the dinner menu and you'll enjoy your stay. We did :)

Great hotel, right next to the waterfall
A great little hotel right next to the waterfall, this was our third stay here in a waterfall view room. the rooms are compact but have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are all friendly and professional and the hotel offers the added bonus of secure access to the corridors with rooms to separate you from the daily visitors using the hotel restaurant so you fell secure and comfortable to leave things in your room whilst out for the day. The breakfast has plenty of choice and sets you up for the day, the onsite restaurant is reasonably priced for Iceland with more generous portions compared to other places we stayed. A great spot to have access to the waterfall early in the morning before the crowds arrive or late into the evening for the northern lights.

Excellent location in front of amd with vievs to Skogafoss waterfall and the underrated Kvernufoss just besides. The hotel is not the newest, the bathroom in the room needs a refurbishement, the humidity left its traces. Overall good value, 3 stars rating is appropriate

Great stay!
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Skogafoss. Dinner in the dining room was delicious. We stayed up late and played chess and cards at the tables in the lobby and enjoyed drinks and dessert. Loved the location! Would request a washer and dryer for guests.

Randomly came across this place after our ferry was canceled. The deluxe room was very roomy but not really any more luxurious than the basic room. Staff was very nice. The major selling point is the proximity to 2 great falls and hikes and the chicken ver blanc in the restaurant. Honestly, it was a lifetime top 5 chicken entree for me. If you dont stay, go eat there and call ahead to reserve a falls view table

The hotel is very close the waterfall, so it was easy to get there either by car or walking. The front desk person was very nice and explained everything about the hotel. The dining room has a great view of the farm and waterfall if you get there early enough to get a table by the windows. There was some noisy people at night, but that was our only complaint.

Working soap dispensers in room bathrooms would be helpful, we brought our own soap and shampoos. A change in shower coverage would be great too since the ahower curtain is too short and water ends up all over bathroom floor. A plastic shelf or counter of some aort in the bathroom would be helpful too as there is no good place to put anything, change of xlotes towel or toiletries

Good location, great view from the window of the waterfall. Rooms quite small , but we knew that before we went, so it was perfect for 1 or 2 nights. Bit disappointed as the hotel had said they would provide a birthday treat for my sister, but they actually charged us for it.

Wonderful Stay
A perfect central location for adventuring on the south coast of Iceland. The staff was very friendly and assisted us in coordinating getting our lost luggage delivered to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a great, clean hotel in a convenient location. It's nice that it has a restaurant, and the included breakfast is lovely. Walking to Skogafoss was a bonus, and it was wonderful hearing the roaring waterfall from the hotel. Would stay here again.

Very basic accommodation considering the price we paid. Equivalent to a cheap cabin in a caravan park back home, but triple the price. Our most expensive night in Iceland, with the least facilities and amenities. Avoid if you can.

We stayed one night at this hotel in the 4-bedroom apartment. We only have 4 in our family but this was the only option as rest of the hotel was sold-out. The apartment is located further away from waterfall and main hotel but you have a partial view of the waterfall. The apartment had areas that needed more cleaning. The bedrooms were clean but the bathroom, kitchen and living room could use from more attention. The space also has a sulfuric smell, including the shower (this has been commented by other reviewers). We were able to walk to Skogafoss, which was very convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was excellent. We would consider staying at this hotel again due to the location and restaurant but would try and get a room in the main hotel.

This hotel was such a perfect place to stay while driving the ring road. The room was comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant too. It was so nice to eat there after a long day of exploring. In the early morning we hiked up next to Skogafoss before it got busy. The included breakfast for hotel guests was really great and had a good variety. We would definitely stay here again!
