"Room was clean and comfortable, but main bed was only a double not a queen (a bit squishy). Staff were fabulous - courteous, friendly, accommodating. Restaurant was amazing - great atmosphere, even better host and the best wait staff."

"This hotel was really good value for money. I would not bother paying for the breakfast as this was over priced. The rooms were clean and comfortable but it did say that it will be changing to a premier inn soon and the rooms will all be having a make over. I would stay here again if returning to Newcastle."

"The staff were brilliant, right from Check in to departure, they couldnt do enough for you. Rooms were lovely and clean, food in the evening was superb also as well as breakfast."
"Had a lovely relaxing time with my girlfriend and her husband, room was so clean and had everything we needed, absolutely loved being able to log into Netflix on the tv which was a great size. We were checked in by a lovely young man who also served us our food, he was very attentive and even brought us extra sides for our burgers. Exceptional service from a lovely lady who served us breakfast and made sure we had fresh coffee immediately, she was also fantastic with all other customers. We will definitely be back soon, if not for another night away, certainly food and drinks. "

"pretty much as you see on the pictures(which is rare) all lovely would definitely revisit and communication was spot on. downside which is very minimal, no way to light fire pit or log burner unless u take something with you (as all none smokers we didnt av a lighter but our rechargeable lighter we brought to light didnt have enough charge ) but it was stated when messaged that its due to H&S which i guess is fair enough, the coffee table is very dangerous not only to young kids but also adults, i think all of us have left with bruises from the table and the glass isnt secure on the stand which made us all aware that it could break at any time and be on edge throughout the stay. we all enjoyed been there for the weekend and found that most things were thought of from kitchen to entertainment to kids to chill, a great way to spend time with the family"
"A pleasant cottage, but there is no access to back garden as 2 very large dogs were there. They also scratch / jump at the back door (in lounge) in the middle of the night! Front garden not as pretty as picture with some dog mess and dogs watching through gate. Lastly boiler is in bedroom so you can hear when it comes on. "
"We arrived fairly late to this property but had received no access instructions and spent some time tracking down first Travelnest and then the owner. On entering the property it was clear it hadn't been occupied for a little while and was not the cleanest as a result. The garden and patio area surrounding the property is shared and appeared neglected. None of this created the best of first impressions. But the cottage is a charmingly adapted original outbuilding and everything is basically functional. A few utensils and sharp knives missing from the kitchen and no towel rails in the bathroom. "
