Experience this charming vacation or business executive private studio apartment in our 1880's restored Victorian home. Our location for Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest is IDEAL - 5 block walk to Jazz Fest at the Fair Grounds Race Track - most venues are within walking distance. Walk to grocery stores, restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy, City electric pedal assist bicycle rental kiosk, Bayou St. John & City Park. Relax and BBQ in the completely landscaped lush and tropical backyard with a goldfish and water lilly pond. Ample street parking directly in front. All the comforts of home, just pack your bags and make your way over!

When it's time to take a break, this studio comes complete with a 49" flat-screen smart HDTV to keep you amused and informed during your stay. A galley kitchen includes a gas range and oven, microwave, full size refrigerator with ice maker, 5-cup coffee maker and pots, pans, dishes and utensils - all the basics for snacking or cooking a full meal. There is a pull out twin-size couch with linens provided for a third guest at a nominal additional daily fee.

Our Host Herb was great. We never had to ask for anything because it was provided. The location was wonderful and was in walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops. Finding Leo's Bread was worth the trip. Thanks Herb, We'll be back

My friend and I had the BEST time staying in the Lagniappe Suite!!!! It was comfy and cozy, with a backyard/garden room that was utterly charming. And the bed slept wonderful!!! Herb was gracious and very knowledgeable about the area; I will DEFINITELY stay here again, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Can’t wait to return to New Orleans and stay here again!! Thanks Herb!! Cindy & Denise

Great Stay in New Orleans
Herb was a welcoming host for our 4-night stay in New Orleans. The property was an historic home in a safe neighborhood. Herb provided everything we needed for a great stay. We were 1 mile from the City Park, NOMA, Trolly to the French Quarter snd much more. We did a day trip to Chalmett, snd thoroughly enjoyed the area.

We could not have picked a more perfect place to stay. If we make it back to New Orleans we would stay here every time. A very spacious vrbo with everything you need-including a very sweet, knowledgeable host. He even went out of his way to drive us to the French Quarters the first night we were there, saving us fare for an Uber or cab! He gave us personal advice for must-do’s including the ham and cheese croissant at Leo’s Bakery-recommended strongly! Very safe location, decent prices instead of price gouging! Thank you Herb! This is THE place, and Herb is THE man!
This property is amazing, and exactly as pictured except the pictures don’t do it justice in terms of how nice it is. The house is incredibly charming and comfortable. The backyard is beautiful and so relaxing, and the neighborhood is extremely cool as the Esplanade Ridge area is about as classic New Orleans as you can get. With all that being said, it is really the host that brings it to a whole different level. Herb is an engaging, knowledgeable, caring host who goes way above and beyond to provide a great stay for his guests. It was an absolute treat to meet Herb and stay at his place. From now on, Herb’s place will be my first choice in New Orleans. Thanks, Herb…see you next time.

Perfect hideaway in the center of everything
It was the perfect place to stay for an authentic experience in New Orleans. Central to everything, and Herb was incredibly helpful with dining suggestions in the area as well as music, arts, history, whatever the interest. One of the best vacations we have ever had. The guest home and our host Herb had that New Orleans charm/vibe that is so unique in the very best way. We will definitely be returning in the future!
