"Overall nice, historical hotel. Rooms are smaller and bed was less comfy. Restaurant, bar and music were nice. Location is best. "

"We have stayed at fhe FMI for decades because I love the location, courtyard and general ambiance. This stay was inconvenient because of the location of the room which, if I am honest, I never was able to find on my own. The bathroom was very small and the shower doors were or a bizarre type that caused the room to be flooded before we could get to the shower head and readjust it to spray the wall only. The courtyard, while beautiful as always would have benefited by outdoor heaters as would the pool. All that said it is a beautiful property if you like historic and slightly spooky. "

"Water pressure so minimal it was just a trickle, unable to shower. Water needed to run for 20-30 min to get hot. "

"AC didn't work in our room. Also, was black soot coming from the AC vent in our room, we called and asked them to fix it, all they did was change the sheets. Had to go down to the lobby and ask for a different room. Only rooms they had available were downgrades from what we booked. We took one because it was better option than sleeping and waking up to soot all over us."

"Very clean and beautiful room with fantastic location. My own complaint was the front desk lady who checked us in was very rude and put me in a room with a king bed. When I went down to tell her I had booked two double beds she said they were all out and could bring me a cot. When I refused this she all of a sudden found another room to move me to. She was very rude about the entire situation and it wasn’t the best way to start a vacation. However everything about this hotel was great and I don’t think this is a reflection of the entire team. "
