"Good location for exploring Edinburgh. Lots of nice restaurants nearby.
Apartment was very nice. Only complaint was the bed which wasn't very comfortable. Mattress could use replacing."

"We arrived adter a bit of a nightmare journey with trains cancelled and local snow as we left. We managed to re-route and got to the hotel tired and cold to be told our room was already available and to head straight up to get warm. The room was lovely. We booked a super king sized room for a bit of extra space for the 3 night stay. The huge bath tub was a bonus to soak in after a long day walking in wintry weather. The antipodes toiletries were lovely.
Location of the hotel is spot on. Everything is within walking distance. I'd recommend the society bar and kitchen a few doors down for brunch or tea but make sure you book ahead as they regularly have queues outside.
The pool was cold but the sauna and steam room were lovely.
Only small gripe was towels weren't changed when requested but we found some fresh so not a huge deal. We would definitely stay here again. Luggage room used on check out was useful although slightly manic trying to locate luggage in there. All in all a pleasant stay."
"Quite walkable to the Royal Mile and Waverley Station, maybe 10-15 minutes. Mostly flat, though Waverley itself is down a slope.
Breakfast was good and not too busy, though I stuck to the less busy times as advertised. Restaurant also quite qiet, though bar was busy on one night at least (there was a football game on!)
All-in-all, typical Novotel."
"The location is wonderful, ideally situated near both Princes st and the Royal mile with a view of Edinburgh castle straight up. I regret not taking advantage of the free breakfast until we were leaving. Our room was a castle view room with elevator access which was paramount as I knew I'd be walking everywhere on a very bad knee. The nearby castle lot, while not cheap is significantly discounted with a stay here make certain to ask. A few things to note, fantastic showers, comfortable bed, and clean and well run facilities. The laundry room was much appreciated as was the lounge. A lovely stay, would come again.."
"Quiet, clean. Twin room so had 2 large beds per person. Very spacious room. Used the pool and sauna which was nice and included in our stay. Location is great. Staff helpful. "
"From reception at the front door as the limo pulled up ..there were two bellmen outside opening the car door and escorting us to the front desk where reception and check in was friendly and seamless. Rooms well appointed and spotless. Service was excellent throughout our visit. Concierge stepped up to help with a problem and were always one step ahead. Baba bar ..Leon thé bartender attentive friendly and recommended thé perfect wine to pair with the appie we ordered. Location was perfect.
Highly recommend "
