My girlfriend and her father showed up and were told their reservation was not recognized and that Expedia had not paid them nor protected the reservation although this was confirmed more than a month in advance.

Thank you for your candid comment. Please accept my sincere apologies for this mishap which I did try to explain to her on arrival. The Villa was fully booked at the time but there was a broken link between the channel manager that manages the bookings which let to the availability being reflected whilst we were full and we were not aware as we had blocked off the dates. We are still working with the affected providers to ensure this does not happen again. We sincerely apologise and share the frustration. Whilst we know it would not soothe the pain, we offer first night complimentary on your next visit to Bonsai or to your friend(s)
