Never received check-in instructions

They left us stranded in Manchester. I sent them multiple messages and tried calling them, but they never provided check-in instructions. I called Vrbo, then they called the host multiple times and he never replied. We had to find a different place to stay in Manchester. Vrbo said they are providing a full refund and the price difference up to a maximum value.

Good Apartment - No Parking - Poor communication

It's a good size apartment in a nice and safe location. We booked it because it had parking but they said the key fob was broken so we couldn't use the parking, had to therefore pay for parking elsewhere. No manual on how to use the apartment, no wifi code, what do you do with the bins etc. etc. Poor communication with owner, took a long time to reply to messages.

Received a message the day before arrival claiming a water pipe had burst. The host asked us to cancel the reservation ourselves rather than doing it on their end. When I insisted that the cancellation should be handled through the site, the issue was suddenly "resolved." Moments later, the booking was cancelled anyway. I would recommend avoiding this property.

No parking! It states that there's parking onsite, but that is not the case. I was told that the parking was "suspended" on my arrival day, so I had £36 on parking. A neighbour, who was driving out of the car park, said that the landlord/host must pay for an allocated space as there is no problem with parking. The apartment is tidy, but not very clean. The dishwasher was full, cobwebs in rooms and the floor looked like it had been mopped with dirty water. I literally had to ask for everything, parking, how to gain entry and codes for locks. Front door doesn't lock from the inside. Very disappointed as we paid good money to stay there.
