"Such a lovely property, lovingly looked after by the host (the best set up and maintained house in Valletta according to the local electrician). Very atmospheric and right in the old town, but just out of the thronging crowds so had a more local feel which was great. Could walk everywhere in Valletta with ease and interest. "It was late when we arrived.We got a taxi from the airport for 14. Alice had kindly bought us bread, cheese, ham, butter and water so that we didn't have to go looking for the 24hr supermarket when we arrived. We loved the location looking onto the bay. It was on a main road but not too noisy.The area we stayed in (around Birzebbuga) wasn't touristy but you could walk 5-10mins to some nice restaurants and bars or prepare food in the apartment, which was well equipped. "
