"I thought the staff was great, but this area and location is a bit rough, so you may face some cold nights and lack some creature comforts. I stayed 4 nights, which may have been two too many as there really wasn’t a whole lot to do at night. Still the day hiking was nice and the hotel restaurant was nice. "

"The staff at Hotel Vajra are lovely....helpful, friendly and full of advice. The food is fine, with a good buffet style breakfast and eggs cooked to order. The garden setting gives some tranquillity amid the very busy Kathmandu streets, and the craftsmanship and historic feel to the hotel are highlights.
