"I thought the staff was great, but this area and location is a bit rough, so you may face some cold nights and lack some creature comforts. I stayed 4 nights, which may have been two too many as there really wasn’t a whole lot to do at night. Still the day hiking was nice and the hotel restaurant was nice. "

"If you like to have your own quiet time this is the place. The Hotel owner and the manager (suraj) was very nice and very cooperative. Though the property does not have any Room heater we managed the cold night with 2 blankets!

My "villa" was in the forest where it was quiet and peaceful, except the day the hotel next to us had a wedding, lol. And the view from the rooftop of the hotel was spectacular despite the haze of the summer. If you're goal is a view of the snow capped mountains, go in September- November. "This is an out of the way, rugged and basic property. No pool. But they had a trampoline and a tree swing for the kids. Very quiet. Beautiful views of Lantang region. Note: you need a 4-wheel-drive vehicle with high clearance to get there. The last kilometer or so is unpaved, bumpy, muddy, and narrow. Parking is in a small dirt lot with a gate that is locked at night."
