Slightly out of the bright lights Tokyo, lovely and quiet with a train station close by. The hotel was amazing from the moment we stepped inside, and the breakfast’s were incredible. Can’t rate this place enough and was easily the best hotel we’ve stayed in ever.

i love the convenience of this hotel, i don't have to stress of getting up too early to catch my flight. also, the onsen facilities are wonderful. maybe the masseuse could be better... maybe a professional masseuse perhaps? otherwise very good facilities.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel NIWA. As a solo traveller, this is a lovely, safe area. Although I felt safe overall in all locations.
After much research I chose Hotel NIWA as I love the serenity here. It’s so peaceful, away from the busyness & the crowds, however a great location, close to all with such great transportation & so many fabulous dining options close by. The food is fabulous here.
The service standards are excellent. I found all staff so friendly, courteous & so helpful....

This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Both times as a family of 5 staying in 1 room.
We didn’t spend much time in the room or hotel other than to sleep but it was spacious and well appointed.
The hotel is very close to 4 stations and only a short walk to Tokyo Dome and with plenty of eating places close by.

This was a very conveniently located, reasonably priced hotel in Tokyo that was clean, friendly and had everything you could need. The onsen/ofuro baths were lovely.
My only issue is, as with many hotels in Japan, they try to force you to check in at a kiosk. I like the personal touch of a check in desk, and had to go to one anyway because of my foreign passport. I want to live world where I still get checked in by real people and I should have been given the choice.

There was a great vibe on the first floor, with a trendy bar and dining area, cocktails and desserts are always a winner. There was a communal area on 2F, it had what you needed as far as microwave and bits, with a great table. Generally quieter than I expected but it was easy to get to other areas, especially the fish market and the Tokyo flea market, both were excellent. The people were beautiful folk and very helpful.

While the facilities are dated, the cleanliness and service is top notch. Being so close to Shinjuku Station is so convenient and makes Sunroute Plaza the perfect base for a stay in Tokyo. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I visit Japan

Really good hotel in a great location a short walk from the JR station at Ikebukuro. The area around the hotel and station has a number of department stores and hundreds of small shops, bars, restaurants and everything you would need during your stay.
The JR line is the main line that does a loop around most of the places in Tokyo you would want to visit plus there are a few other lines that have a stop at this station.
Overall a great hotel in a fantastic location and I enjoyed my second...
