The best time to visit Kameido is during spring (March to May) for cherry blossom viewing or autumn (September to November) for comfortable weather and colourful foliage.Spring in Kameido is particularly special due to the renowned Kameido Tenjin Shrine, which is famous for its wisteria gardens that bloom from late April to early May, creating a stunning purple canopy. The cherry blossoms along the former Kyu-Naka River are also a beautiful sight, usually peaking in late March or early April. The weather during these months is generally mild and pleasant, making it ideal for exploring on foot.Autumn provides a different kind of beauty with the changing leaves, particularly around the parks and canals. The temperatures are cool and agreeable, superb for leisurely strolls and enjoying the local eateries without the summer humidity. This season also brings various local festivals, offering a glimpse into traditional Japanese culture. While summer (June to August) can be warm and humid, and winter (December to February) can be quite cold, both seasons have their merits. Summer offers lively festivals and fireworks, and winter provides a chance to experience traditional New Year celebrations and enjoy the local hot pot dishes.
