"An above-average business hotel near Ikebukuro JR station. The basic rooms are pretty small, but the larger two-twin bed rooms and two-twin couch rooms are closer to what you might expect in a European or American budget hotel. Location is convenient, but definitely still has a touch of the red-light-district after dark. Still very safe though. Denny's downstairs is convenient for tourists but I beg you, do not eat there, there are two dozen better options within 5 minutes walk."

"Wonderful area to stay in for the first time in Tokyo. Room was bigger than expected and clean although very slight smell of cigarette probably through no fault of theirs. Lots of lovely amenities & wonderful proximity to the JR and park & zoo."
