"This hotel is on one end of the several blocks long high mountain village of Murren. To get to the village from Lauterbrunnen it is most convenient to use the postbus and then the aerial cableway that continues on to the Piz Gloria. Travel one stop to Murren on this large safe aerial car. The Alpenrue hotel is next to the station. There. Is very little noise from the cableway and none at night. We had 3 excellent breakfasts; croissants, cheese, meat, coffee and juice. Wonderful ! We also had 2 dinners and and an Irish coffee on the public balcony overlooking the alps. The staff were helpful, spoke English and were attentive. The village grocery and many interesting shops were on the level and an easy walk from hotel. Our room was very recently renovated and looked brand new. It was spacious with a magnificent balcony overlooking the mountains. We had a wonderful time in Murren and the Alpenrue. PS. You do not have to be young and fit to enjoy this destination. Reserve today !!"

"Me and my friend stayed here for two days and we had one of the best time of our life. The place it's close to the gondola to go to the places you want to go. The food here is excellent local Swiss vibe. Staffs are amazing! Our view was magnificent. We won't think twice to choose this place by the time we come back. Our comeback here with my husband."

"My 7yo son and I had such a lovely stay at Hotel Edelweiss in Mürren. The views from our room were absolutely breathtaking, and it was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful area. The fondue on the terrace was a real highlight, as were the wonderful breakfasts. Most of all, the staff were incredibly warm, kind and welcoming — they really made us feel at home. A truly special place with beautiful views, delicious food and the loveliest people. We’re so grateful for our stay and would love to return! ❤️🏔️"

"Apt was nice and front porch faced the mountains bordering Murren. Views were fabulous! Positives- location was convenient to everything (including train station and grocery store), kitchen was very well equipped and building was secure. Negatives - front door of building was locked from the inside and required key to exit (dangerous in case of a fire emergency), check out info notebook was out of date, tasks required for check out were excessive compared with other rentals we have used and several lighting fixtures were not working."

The host was amazing and promptly replied to any queries we had. The property was Pet friendly and had good outside space for dogs.All in all a brilliant place to stay.
