"The hotel was generally well kept and comfortable enough to stay in for a few nights however there were things that I expected more from the price we paid in comparison to others available in Dublin.
While each floor has a galley with boiling water etc, it was less convenient using shared facilities over having an ironing board and refreshments available in the room. We unfortunately had to move rooms as we were rather abruptly awakened at 7am on our first morning due to excessive noise from nearby construction works. Our first room had dodgy air conditioning which kept us up most of the night, so we weren’t too impressed when the construction works then started so early. Both rooms we stayed in felt rather dusty and we did find a previous guest’s hair extensions in the wardrobe too. The breakfast spread in terms of hot food was underwhelming with only beans, has browns and sausages up for grabs, however the continental cold items were all good (minus the yogurt which was room temp)
Staff were helpful in assisting our room move. We did try to ring reception on a couple occasions and were unable to be put through which was a little frustrating.
The location of the hotel is ideal for easy access to the centre and we did appreciate the option to forgo housekeeping in exchange for a drinks voucher. The decor and aesthetic of the hotel was nice, and felt cosy. Overall the stay was good but I think these elements could be improved quite easily and we would consider returning."
