"This hotel opened two years ago. Everything is new and very good, from the front desk staff to free breakfast in the morning. The room was very comfortable with blinds that block outside lights almost completely. There is a big supermarket across the road from the hotel, shopping for snacks was very easy. "

"This was a beautiful surprise. Beautiful room facing Rainey Lake. Christa checked us in and went out of her way to take care of us. We had a room with a view of Rainey Lake. There is an outdoor seating area overlooking Rainey Lake with chairs and a large hot tub and a kitchen area with a microwave but no morning coffee service either there or in room. One had to go to lobby and purchase coffee and pre-made breakfasts to microwave. The hotel could benefit from in-room coffee service for sure! ...

"Brought the family up for a trip to Voyageurs National Park and didn't want to completely break the bank on a room to sleep. The Hilltop was convenient located right on the main drag of IF, check in was super easy, as was check out. Brandy was readily available if needed during our stay although we didn't need anything. The room was as described. They aren't newly renovated or high end, but they serve their purpose, good size, clean, quiet. Definitely worth the price!"

"The bathroom was the biggest problem with mold and moldy black baseboards coming apart at the base molding. (No pun intended.) The hot water heater was literally next to the bed, covered in carpeting with loose screws on top. The location was misrepresented and not in the park or even in a wooded area, but on an atrial street in a neighborhood."

"Nice and quiet location on the Rat Root River. Was offered canoe and small V bottom to use by the awesome host. Was well taken care of and given locations and tips to go fishing . The place has a great history ,area full of friendly people and everyone I mentioned the place to I met said they loved that old saloon. I do too!"
