"4.5/5 Staff at CPG were outstanding. Always very helpful and courteous. Even during the events of 2/22‐2/24, they worked admirably. Rooms were well kept. There were only a few areas that could use some attention, but nothing was dirty or unsightly (the a/c in our room was a bit loud). The food was better than I thought it would be. The buffet always had enough variety that everyone in our group was satisfied. Location is good. We walked 10min to the marine terminal for our excursions. There is a pharmacy and a MedExpress of sorts just outside the resort. A taxi to Old Town is about 200 pesos. Even considering the events of 2/22-2/23, I would absolutely visit PV and stay at Crown Paradise Golden again."

"Modern, Clean, Safe Property. Fantastic Breakfast and coffee. In room air conditioning amazing. The shower could use some re working in the next reno, water runs out the door every time and the bench in the shower is basically unusable, too shallow and a sharp edge. We tried to get a king bed at check in but was told unavailable. We survived. Hotel is in a great location. They have built covered walking paths between our hotel and the two surrounding it. It’s easy enough to get to the beach and it’s actually fairly easy to walk to centro or romantica zone. Would stay again. Roof top pool is great, don’t worry about reserving your bed with your towel because the rules say reserving sun beds is not allowed. It took a few days of getting fed up with the situation to finally just start moving unoccupied towels and towels and enjoy ourselves."

"The hotel was well maintained and clean. The food was good. They had a great little coffee bar where the lattes were excellent. The hotel grounds were attractive. The staff was friendly and helpful. Each seemed to be willing to help with learning Spanish. Our stay overlapped the fallout from El Mencho’s attempted capture and death. While the city burned, the staff still put on brave faces and cared for guests as though nothing was going on. Many could not go home that night. Most worked long hours to cover for others who could not get to work because curfews held them in place. Their commitment and strength was amazing."
