My family loved the place. It’s very cozy and picturesque. The beautiful orchids decorating the common areas bring a sense of tranquility and freshness. The pool area has plenty of seating for conversation or reading. The breakfast is excellent, with a different menu offered every day. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, and shopping stores. I highly recommend it.

Cleanliness is good and nice staff. The hotel is right next to a busy road and traffic easily is heard in some rooms and can last late into the evening, and might affect air quality.

This hotel was perfect for a short stay, walkable to the bus stop or there is taxi stand right outside. It has small, cute pool. The reception staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay.

It is a close walk to the beach. It isnt that far to go to the shopping and watch fireworks . Uber was amazing. The room cleaning people where rude. Expect a wow factor.

The room was decorated nice and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the view from the rooftop terrace while drinking coffee from the cafe next store. There is no food or drink options inside the hotel which is ok because there are plenty outside. The lobby and sitting areas were nice just suggest some cushion maintenance as some were stained.

They didn’t have blankets for the room. Breakfast was very limited. Coffee was terrible. The bathroom didn’t have an exhaust at all. The staff made me run to the room to bring back remotes on check out and didn’t even know my keys won’t work. It was not worth the money I spent.

We had a room on the bottom floor. There were two dead roaches in the room when we got there. We found a live roach under the bed. The hot water in the bathroom did not turn on at all. The TV had a double visioned screen. There were no towels at all in the room so I had to go to the front desk to get them. The room was so musty smelling that we had to go to the store and buy air freshener just to make it through the night. We asked for a room transfer but were told there were none. We slept with the light on all night to keep an eye out/to discourage roaches coming out. They do offer a continental breakfast but to get that you have to wear a blue wristband that says "Breakfast" all day/night to get the breakfast the next morning. Seems unnecessary. Perhaps the other rooms are better but steer clear of floor level rooms!

The property is cute, but management is bad. When you rent an apartment you expect to have enough silverware, pots and pans, good fridge, a cleaned place. That was not the case. If you decide to stay here, you will have some kind of issue for sure. Dirty pool, bug bites, dirty place, not enough silverware, pots, pans, non working remote controls, bad smell, no hot water or no water, old bread, fridge will freeze your food, dirty utensils. I will not be staying here again.

Not worth the money

This property looks cute on the outside and we only needed it for a night BUT overpriced WAY below expectations. The couches in the lobby area were filthy as was the floor. Check in was good and the lady was pleasant. Once in the room, the lack of upkeep became apparent. The tile floors were filthy, the light in the bathroom did not work, no towels, half a roll of toilet paper, one tiny bottle of hand soap (trial size) for 3 people. No shampoo or conditioner. The one knob in the shower was completely broken off. The water pressure in the shower was pathetic. Rainshower shower head that clearly needed some CLR to clear out calcium and or debris. The bathroom sink was slow to drain, filling with water quickly while we washedThe bathroom door was damaged and in poor condition. It looked very shabby.It spoke to the poor maintenance this hotel receives. The TV had the cable box dangling from it. We asked the staff to deal with the bathroom light twice. On the second go round a young man came in and played with the switch by turning it on and off quickly. We laughed as we knew it clearly had a short and you had to toy with it to turn on... a little scary for sure. We had to go fetch our own towels and luckily we had our own toiletries. The hotel is cute, great location but is in major need of TLC and a good cleaning. Overpriced. I give it a 5 out of 10 for its proximity to buses, beach and restaurants. I would not stay there again for the price paid

There were many options for authentic Mexican dining within a short walking distance. The taxis were reasonable and could get you to downtown easily. The hotel was cute, breakfast was average.

Suite was great, pool was small but serene. Location was nice. I would critique their breakfast. The food was inedible (think crusty refried beans, hot dogs for breakfast). They ran out of coffee two mornings and bread another morning. I would not pay for the breakfast again.

Hotel suites Mar Elena was clean, well kept, and the service was excellent. They are still working on their breakfast options so the only thing I would say is that don’t expect too much for breakfast. It is very simple. This does reflect on the cost and if a reasonably priced hotel is what you need this is a great place to stay. It is very central. The grocery store is very close and the bus stop to get pretty much anywhere in PV. Very nice hotel.
