Very dated and staff is very slow and rude at the front desk and they are all about selling the timeshare. Food is terrible and service is extremely slow. All options are bad. Nothing tastes good. Rooms are dated and we had to change rooms because AC leaks and my mom fell with the puddle of water inside her bedroom. No apologies from them over that. We had to get out of a restaurant because we waited over an hour for the order and got frustrated. They shut some resturants certain days of the week and choices are limited to eat. Not Worth your time or money.

Most staff were great. A few servers had attitudes and was very slow in serving you. Had to ask for assistance versus them checking on us. Cinthia, Baltazar, Veronica and one other I can’t remember at breakfast were very good. Polite and always attentive. The gentleman making the omelette’s each morning was also great at his job and polite. The employees working the coffee/ice cream/crapes shop was way too slow. Always a line and took way too long to get anything. Besides ourselves saw many others walking away because they were WAY to slow. Being the only coffee shop they should have been faster and more employees helping. Plus none of them spoke English so I had to find someone who spoke English to help place my order. Disappointing.

Our stay at Villa del Palmar was very comfortable. Staff was very attentive. We were about 15-20 minutes away from El Malecon, taxi's always available and ready when you get to the front of the hotel. A shopping mall about 5 minute walk from the hotel. Would definitely come back, especially when they reopen after remodel.
