The George Hotel
8/10 Good
"Check in was quick, staff offered to book us a table for dinner but declined. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom could do with an upgrade, rust and black marks throughout but otherwise clean. I’d say a fridge in the room would have been handy. Lovely outdoor space and peaceful area."

"No parking on site, but carparks walking distance. Great shops and restaurants a bit noisy as on a main road, staff helpful and friendly"

"Staff were amazing,extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Food was good, Great breakfast and good choice in restaurant if you are eating there in the evening. Only slight problem was poor phone signal and hotel WiFi only worked in the car park."

"Excellent staff, very helpful. Good beer. Comfy beds, great area Dog friendly. Would have liked breakfast but there's plenty places around for it and the owner says he's working on adding it Loved the stay Would deffo go again Thanks"

"An enjoyable and relaxed stay. Old property with some interesting rustic features, but the absence of any drawer storage in the room was a problem. Good breakfast. Evenig meal menu was limited, not offering a great choice of normal English fare for an older couple."

"The bedroom was excellent,clean well furnished and appointed. The only small criticism was that there was a lack of comfortable space away from the restaurant space and bar but as we were only staying one night this didn’t matter too much. The breakfast was excellent and the bar food,whereas it was well prepared, was a little limited in choice. We would however stay again."
