"This hotel was easily one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The hotel rooms have a proper ryokan feel and the hotel staff are the nicest people I have came across in Japan. We didn’t even ask them for a shuttle pick up from our bus stop but a car with a driver was already there They provide free shuttle to and fro Sukurai station which I wish I knew from before. Oh and the views from the rooms are just exquisite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. My only regret is that...

"This is a very authentic Japanese hotel and appeared to be mostly Japanese tourists. The dinner buffet had very loud live performance and the audience was definitely into it. There's an onsen at this hotel and a pool. The pool closes early and opens late so heads up. We didn't really pay attention to where the hotel was. It's about a 45 minute train from the Nara Park, we may have booked a closer place if we'd known, but for the experience of staying at this hotel it was pretty much worth...

"A beautiful spot in the forest, although just a bit far from the sights in Nara. The staff was lovely and the room quite comfortable, by Western standards for a Japanese room (although the futons were by far the hardest and most uncomfortable of the three ryokans we visited). The meals lived up to the reviews, beautifully presented true kaiseki."

"Very good breakfast, all the staff were extreme welcoming and hospitable, hotel is conveniently located near train station and main Nara shopping and restaurant district, would definitely stay here again."

"Beautiful and luxury hotel with excellent view. Great location, near transportation, mall and walking distance to Dotonburi. Rooms were spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff were wonderful to deal with, very friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay here again."
"The room was so spacious! In comparison to the other hotels we stayed at in Japan this room was great! It was a quick walk to a giant shopping area and lots of restaurants. Only 10 mins to the subway. Great hotel. "
